Revenue grew at a healthy clip in 1996, as the company signed several large sales agreements.
Timberland Co., which makes shoes, and Wegmans Food Markets Inc. were among the companies that started using Manugistics supply-management products last year.
In September the company introduced a new Advanced Manufacturing Scheduling product based on technology acquired with its purchase earlier in the year of Avyx Inc., a Colorado maker of manufacturing-scheduling software.
In March Manugistics said it will collaborate with Information Resources Inc. of Chicago to develop supply-chain software that incorporates data from cash register scanners directly into computers to facilitate supply and demand forecasts.
